Dogwood City Grotto Member & Cave Explorer
-
As a member of Dogwood City Grotto, I immerse myself in the incredible world of caving, exploring the hidden landscapes beneath the surface and connecting with others who share this unique passion. The grotto provides a community dedicated to safe, responsible exploration, and preservation of caves, where members support each other in learning the skills needed for caving and protecting these natural environments.
-
One of my favorite sites to explore is Petty John’s Cave in Walker County, Georgia. Known for its winding passages, tight crawls, and unique rock formations, Petty John’s offers the perfect combination of adventure and challenge. Navigating its intricate pathways has taught me patience, resilience, and strategic thinking, as each caving trip requires careful preparation and adaptability. Beyond the physical challenges, exploring caves is a way for me to disconnect, immerse myself in nature, and find clarity in the quiet and beauty of underground spaces.
-
Being part of Dogwood City Grotto has enriched my appreciation for nature and the importance of conservation. It’s a community that fuels my love for exploration and adventure, reminding me of the value of perseverance and teamwork—qualities that I carry with me into all areas of my life.
Director of External Affairs, First Generation Medical Students Club at UCF:

-
As the Director of External Affairs for the First Generation Medical Students Club at UCF, I play a vital role in supporting and advocating for first-generation students who are pursuing careers in medicine. In this role, I collaborate with club leadership to create opportunities that enhance our members' journeys toward medical school. My responsibilities include organizing volunteer events, coordinating networking sessions with professionals, and planning informational workshops that cover topics such as medical school admissions, interview preparation, and career pathways.
-
This position allows me to use my communication and organizational skills to build connections between our members and the wider medical community, offering them resources and guidance that are often less accessible for first-generation students. Being in a leadership position within the club has been incredibly fulfilling, as I’m able to contribute to an inclusive environment where students can find mentorship, support, and inspiration. My involvement with the club not only reinforces my commitment to my own career path but also empowers me to help others succeed on theirs.
UCF Rock Climbing Club Member & Outdoor Bouldering Enthusiast
-
As a member of the UCF Rock Climbing Club, I’ve found a community that shares my enthusiasm for adventure, physical challenge, and the mental focus that climbing demands. Through weekly practices and team activities, the club has provided me with an environment to refine my climbing skills, push my limits, and connect with fellow climbers who are equally passionate about the sport. Rock climbing has not only strengthened me physically but has also taught me perseverance, problem-solving, and the importance of mental clarity when tackling tough routes.
-
Beyond the climbing gym, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to Northern Georgia for outdoor bouldering, immersing myself in the rugged beauty of natural landscapes. Bouldering in nature presents a different set of challenges and rewards, requiring adaptability to the environment and a deeper connection to the rock. These outdoor experiences have taught me resilience and an appreciation for the outdoors, where each climb is a unique puzzle shaped by the natural world.
-
Rock climbing, whether indoors or out in nature, serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of balance, persistence, and the thrill of overcoming obstacles. It’s an activity that grounds me, recharges me, and keeps me focused on my goals both on and off the wall.

Founder & Leader of Bible Study Group

-
Inspired by my experiences as a Youth Worship Leader and Bible Study Leader at University Presbyterian Church, I founded an independent Bible Study Group to create a welcoming and supportive space for spiritual growth. Drawing from my time coordinating music and spiritual activities for over 40 children and facilitating faith-centered discussions, I established this group with the vision of fostering meaningful connections and encouraging members to deepen their faith.
-
In my role as the group’s leader, I organize weekly gatherings, prepare discussion topics, and lead conversations that allow members to explore their faith openly and reflectively. Our group has grown significantly, a testament to the supportive and open environment we strive to maintain. By nurturing an inclusive atmosphere, I aim to empower each participant to engage with scripture, share personal insights, and build connections rooted in shared beliefs.
-
Founding this Bible Study Group has been a rewarding journey, as it allows me to continue my commitment to faith-based leadership and community building. Each session is an opportunity to grow together, support one another, and explore the transformative impact of faith. This group embodies my dedication to creating spaces where people feel valued, inspired, and connected in their spiritual journeys.
